Résumé succinct du poste :
Il s’agit de recruter une jeune mathématicienne ou un jeune mathématicien de haut niveau, qui développe des outils de modélisation ou d’optimisation à destination des sciences du vivant. Ces outils peuvent être du ressort de l’analyse des EDPs, de l’analyse numérique, de l’étude des processus stochastiques ou encore de l’analyse des données. La personne recrutée sera intégrée au sein de l’équipe A3 mais pourra aussi interagir avec les collègues dynamiciens et probabilistes de l’équipe SymPA ; elle viendra renforcer les interactions avec les unités de recherche de l’UPJV, voire de l’A2U, travaillant en écologie, en pharmacologie ou en médecine. On souhaite recruter une personne du niveau HDR ou très proche de l’Habilitation. Les besoins en termes d’encadrement doctoral et de gestion scientifique de projets du LAMFA sont en effet importants.

Brief summary of the position :
The aim is to recruit a high-level mathematician to develop modeling or optimization tools for the life sciences. These tools may be related to the analysis of PDEs, numerical analysis, the study of stochastic processes or data analysis. The person recruited will be integrated into the A3 team, but will also be able to interact with colleagues in the SymPA team, dedicated to dynamical systems and probability; he/she will reinforce interactions with research units at the UPJV, and even the A2U alliance, working in ecology, pharmacology or medicine. We are looking to recruit a person at or very close to HDR level (Habilitation). LAMFA's needs in terms of doctoral supervision and scientific project management are indeed considerable.
